Christ Episcopal Church: Big Mural WORSHIP schedule

The worship of God in Christ is what binds us together as a community of faith. As members of Christ Church, we have different interests, callings, and commitments, different ministries in the church and in the world.

The one time we come together under one roof is when we gather for worship. We bring all that we are and all that we care about as our offering to God, believing that God will receive us and challenge us, bless us and strengthen us, and return us to the world in love and service.

*What does this word "Eucharist" mean? Literally, it means "thanksgiving."

It's the word we use to describe what we do on Sunday mornings (and at other times, too) when we share not only scripture, prayers, and hymns,

but also the blessed bread and wine of Holy Communion.

Services at Christ Church come from the Book of Common Prayer (1979) of the Episcopal Church, the red book in the pew racks. Our music comes from The Hymnal (1982), the blue book in the pew racks, and from Wonder, Love, and Praise, the dark green hymnal supplement.
